Who Can Benefit From Fiberglass Indoor Planters?
Fiberglass indoor planters are used in a number of different industries from retail stores, to hospitality, and for residential applications in the form of decor and landscape design.
Using fiberglass indoor planters for interior landscaping has many benefits for both business owners and the general public. Here are 3 reasons why:
3 Benefits Behind Every Indoor Planter Box
Indoor plant pots can serve a variety of purposes, including simpler plant management, design framing, privacy, and so on, which is difficult to achieve with other natural decor elements.
With Jay Scott's indoor planters, plants will not only have enough room to flourish, but large commercial indoor plant pots also support more plants in a clean and professional way.
Big pots like our Antwerp Wide Rectangular Planter make it easier to organize your plants and limit untidy areas of your interior landscape. This solution, used by architects, interior designers, and commercial companies, is extremely convenient, particularly in a business setting.
2. Indoor planters create privacy for your indoor or outdoor areas
Long rectangle indoor planters such as the Hudson Extra Long Rectangular Planter are the perfect choice for privacy, as rectangle shape with four flat walls allow you to fit the pots together without any gaps.
Rectangular indoor planters also bring a sense of privacy to your commercial spacewhile remaining cozy and elegant! Shop owners, cafe and restaurateurs, even hospitals use long plant pots to divide public spaces to offer a degree of botanical privacy and social distancing.
3. Indoor planters add value to business owners and their customers
Using natural resources to meet business goals is a trend that can be found in a variety of settings, including retail, hospitality, and public services.
Indoor planters are used globally to add value, and comfort, in any environment you can imagine, especially in high-traffic areas within your home or business.
Creating a display of plants or trees produces an advantage for a company as customers are much more likely to discover and invest in products and services that are complemented with greenery. In fact, a 2015 study found that customers expected to pay 25% more in green retail environments and 23% more for a hotel room decorated with plants.
Modern indoor planters are perfect for projects that you want to look and feel professional and will last for years to come!

How To Fill Indoor Planters
There are so many ways to fill your planter without breaking the bank or straining your back. You'll need a light potting soil mix for planting in any container whether it's indoors or outdoors. To fill up your planter simply:
Step 1: Check for drainage holes
Most plants need adequate drainage to thrive. We recommend adding drainage holes to your plant pots, especially for outdoor use. Please specify if you would like this when you order as our planters do not come pre-drilled. It’s also possible to add drainage solutions yourself later.
If you opt for drainage holes for indoor plant pots, we highly recommend you use a drip tray to keep your inside space dry.
Step 2: Prepare filler for the pot
Instead of using potting soil to fill your pot, use space savers in the bottom half. This will help use less soil and water and make the planter lighter. Materials such as gravel, packing peanuts, or plastic bottles are often used.
Separate the filler from the soil with a layer of landscaping fabric. This step will prevent the potting soil from falling through the cracks.
Step 4: Prepare soil for potting
After the filler, use potting soil to fill the planter to the top. Using potting soil for indoor plants is a must to allow water to drain thoroughly and create an environment for the roots of the plant to thrive. Note, you can also use grow bags in lieu of planting directly in the planter.
Step 5: Planting and touching up
Make a small hole a few inches deep in the center of your planter and place your plants right in! If additional potting soil is required, add it around the plants and water as needed. For container plants, wait until the top 2 inches of the potting mix has dried out before watering.
Should Indoor Planters Have Drainage?
Plants can die from root rot caused by bacteria and fungi that form in the bottom of a planter when there is too much water in it.
Regardless of the care and watering requirements of each plant, there should be drainage holes in an outdoor planter to allow excess water to drain away. For indoor planters, we do not recommend drainage holes unless you use a planter tray.
